announced today that the company has reached 60,000 residential customers far
surpassing its 2002 year-end goal. SJE has increased its customer base by 88%
since the end of 2001 when it reported 32,000 residential customers, making
it the most successful energy marketer in New Jersey.
Graham cites many factors to explain the companys explosive growth. However he is quick to point to the guaranteed savings SJE offers its customers. Consumers are attracted by the guaranteed savings we offer on their utility bill," said Graham. With the heating season approaching, consumers will be looking for ways to save money on their energy costs. Our guaranteed savings is certainly one of the best ways for them to save money. This is why we continue to add between 500 and 1000 new customers every week. When consumers choose SJE as their natural gas supplier they not only save on average about $40 each year on their heating bill, they also receive a $25 gift certificate to Home Depot or Acme.
Another key factor in SJEs success is that the company is headquartered locally and is an integral part of the community.
